Comfort’s PhD research looks at improving the knowledge and management of female genital schistosomiasis in Ghana. She holds a Master of Science in Epidemiology and Implementation Science from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa. She has previously worked for the Ghanaian Health Service at a district level in the areas of; surveillance, control, prevention of infectious diseases, outbreak of infectious diseases preparedness and response, expanded programmes on immunisation, and neglected tropical disease management.

She hopes that her PhD research will be a step toward schistosomiasis control and elimination. Her area of interest in research is Public Health Issues among women and children.
