Dr Julia Heather Smith

Julia has over 12 years experience leading research on topics related to global health, international development and human rights, which has been published in multiple peer reviewed journals, and holds a PhD from the University of Bradford. Her most recent research focuses on the politics of the response to HIV and AIDS, globalisation of the tobacco industry, and the role of non-state actors in global health governance. Other research and teaching interests include gender and development, sexual and reproductive health rights and international peacekeeping.
