Competing framings of abortion access reform campaigns in Madagascar: barriers to effective coalition building
HEARD, in collaboration with CRESPPA, Université Paris 8, is pleased to share a new publication emerging from research conducted in Madagascar in collaboration with the SRHR Coalition of the Generation Equality Forum, Antananarivo, Madagascar.
The regional project, Advancing women’s access to safe abortion through coalition building and strengthening strategic advocacy in sub-Saharan Africa, aims to foster normative change by building linkages and capacities and creating coalitions involving researchers, civil society, decision makers and journalists to advocate strategically on Termination of Pregnancy law reform, development of comprehensive abortion care policy and implementation of existing related policy to the fullest extent of the law.
The Project aims to create opportunities for cross regional learning to build connectivities and develop a strong continental response thus broadening the space for strategic dialogue.
The project is funded under a bilateral French-South African grant from the CNRS Joint Research Programme in Africa.
