Claiming the human right to health for women who have sex with women through South Africa’s national strategic plans on HIV and STIs
This health policy analysis responds to a call for research into the process through which the interests of women who have sex with women (WSW) have been represented in South African HIV and AIDS policy considering the context of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, as well as women’s rights, organisations’ engagement in policy processes and how research based advocacy might advance an agenda to enhance HIV prevention, treatment and care for and improve sexual health of WSW.
