Dr Gunilla Priebe from the University of Gothenburg delivers a public lecture  on qualitative methodological approaches, specifically;

  • The characteristics of qualitative knowledge
  • The role of the researcher in qualitative research
  • Qualitative study designs and data collection methods
  • Quality criteria in qualitative research.

 About the speaker: Dr Gunilla Priebe is a senior lecturer in the Department of Public Health and Community Medicine at Institute of Medicine at the University of Gothenburg. Her research focusses on health promotion, health literacy and migration. She is currently leading the Health Promotion Interventions for Refugees (HIRE) project which focuses on health promotion for asylum seekers and immigrants in Sweden. Her previous research areas have focused on participatory research methods and theory development with particular focus on how, through community-based participation, public health and medical research can work towards democratic, inclusive and equitable societies.
