Kwabena’s PhD research looks at developing and testing strategies to reduce the burden of sexually transmitted infections and bacterial vaginosis among women living with HIV in South Africa. He holds a Master of Science in Epidemiology and Implementation Science from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa. He has previously worked as a Research Officer at the Dodowa Health Research Centre, Ghana. His areas of interest in research include; Social and Environmental Epidemiology, and Healthcare Financing.
