Bright Mukanga

Bright’s PhD research evaluates the acceptability, effectiveness, and challenges of the implementation of comprehensive sexuality education programme among school-going adolescents and the socio-cultural factors associated with the risk of HIV infection in Zambia. He holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Sheffield, UK, and a Bachelor’s in Medical Diagnostic Radiology from the University of Johannesburg, South Africa.

He has previously coordinated and implemented adolescent HIV programmes, lectured at Copperbelt University, Zambia, and worked with the Zambian Department of Public Health. His areas of interest in research include; Maternal and Child Health, Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, and Intersections between Gender-Based Violence and HIV risk among Key Populations.
