Sandra Asare

Sandra’s PhD research focuses on the development of a care pathway for the management of common mental disorders during pregnancy in selected primary care settings in Ghana. Her education includes; a Master’s in Disability, Rehabilitation and Development from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana, and a Specialist Diploma in Perinatal Mental Health from Universidad Nacional de Educacion a Distancia, Spain.

She has worked as a clinician at the Medicine Department of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Ghana, for 10 years. She has also worked as a Principal Nurse Educator the Seventh-Day Adventists Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Ghana. Her areas of interest in research include; Perinatal Mental Health, and Disrespectful Maternity Care Prevention.
