Currently employed at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Uganda, Patience aims to focus her PhD topic in the area of improving access to, and utilization of contraceptives among adolescentĀ girls and young women in Uganda.

Post PhD plans include working in collaboration with other scientists, programmers and donors to advocate and propose for appropriate interventions to respond to the gaps in current sexual and reproductive health programming for girls and young, as well as contributing to the local capacity building of technical teams through training.
