Olivier Mukuku

  • PhD Student

Olivier’s PhD research focuses on maternal and child health and HIV in sub-Saharan Africa. He holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), and a medical degree from the University of Lubumbashi, DRC. He is a researcher and lecturer affiliated with the Institut Supérieur des Techniques Médicales in Lubumbashi, DRC.

He hopes that his research will provide a better understanding of the prevalence, socio-demographic and clinical determinants, barriers, and facilitators of viral load suppression in HIV-infected children and adolescents. He also hopes that his research will enable the creation of effective interventions which are needed to improve the health of vulnerable populations in the DRC.
