My background spans a diverse range of research expertise and interests, including Data Science, Quantitative Analytics, Health Economics, and Monitoring and Evaluation. Over the course of my career, I have collaborated with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the design, implementation, and refinement of data-driven solutions that have had a significant impact on projects at regional and provincial levels. I have worked at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (Public Health Discipline) where I supported colleagues and students in conducting evidence synthesis research, particularly undertaking systematic reviews and scoping reviews.

I have also been part of a consultancy team that provides monitoring and evaluation services for government programmes on the status and progress of HIV, STIs, TB, and GBV. Furthermore, I have contributed to projects on behalf of UNICEF, focusing on water and sanitation, COVID-19, and mental health awareness campaigns for school learners in KwaZulu-Natal. My experience also includes collaboration with the World Health Organization, specifically on systematic reviews related to cervical cancer.

I hold a master’s degree in Medical Science (Public Health) where my research investigated the cost and cost-effectiveness of eLearning interventions for healthcare workers in low- and middle-income countries. This study included conducting a systematic review and meta-analysis. Currently, I am a Junior Data Analyst and a member of the Asenze Impilo study team, a sub-study of Asenze, which focuses on co-designing a mental health intervention for adolescents and young adults in KwaZulu-Natal. In addition, I am completing the final year of my master’s degree in Applied Data Science.
