Nolwazi Ntini is an ethnographer and fieldwork co-ordinator within the Gender Equality and Health Programme. In this position she is tasked with supporting overall implementation of the research component of the Stepping Stones and Creating Futures intervention programme through support and oversight of the fieldwork team. In addition, this role is central in delivering ethnography of young people’s lives in informal settlement. She holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Geography and Environmental Management from the University of KwaZulu- Natal. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Development Studies also from UKZN.
Prior to joining HEARD, Nolwazi worked as a Programmes Intern at Project Empower, a Durban based NGO working to uphold the sexual reproductive health and socio-economic rights of marginalized women.
