HEARD is redefining its training role. They will continue to offer short courses developed in line with changing needs and demands. This year we will be conducting a one week managing HIV-AIDS course which will introduce challenges, lessons learned and models and practices for interventions to deal constructively and effectively with HIV-AIDS.

HEARD's "Planning for HIV/AIDS in Sub-Saharan Africa" is the organisation's flagship Policy Research workshop, focusing on the need to anticipate the medium and long-term social and economic consequences of HIV/AIDS in the region, and designed for senior professionals concerned with strategising for the economic, social, demographic, human resource, ethical and legal implications of the epidemic for their constituencies and beyond.
