After completing his internship at HEARD in 2010, Given was employed as a Junior Researcher. He holds a Masters Degree in Communication for Development from the University of Zambia, a Bachelors Degree in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical University in Rome and a Diploma in Philosophy from the Catholic Philosophicate in Zambia. He is currently reading for his PHD in Public Health Communication at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. His current research interests are in public health and HIV/AIDS. At HEARD, Given works on issues that explore health workers salaries, health systems, prevention and workplace voluntary counseling and testing (VCT) and antiretroviral treatment (ART) uptake. His duties include conducting research, literature reviews, quantitative and qualitative analysis of data, manuscript writing and administrative assistance to researchers. |
