Candice completed an Honours degree in Psychology in 2007 at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) and graduated with a Masters in Health Promotion from UKZN in 2009. After completing her internship at HEARD in 2010, Candice was employed as a Junior Researcher. She is currently working within the Workplace VCT and ART Uptake Project (WVUP), which examines the factors that influence the uptake of mineworkers and their spouses into workplace HIV testing and treatment programmes in the Northern Cape. She has been involved in projects commissioned for the European Union and the International Organisation for Migration in the field of human resources for health. Candice's other research interest areas include education, chronic diseases in sub-Saharan Africa, and masculinity and health risk behaviours. |
