The topic of her doctoral research is “Organisational Characteristics as Predictors of the Adoption of Work Family Arrangements in South African Organisations”. Lisa has published in a number of accredited journals on diverse areas of Industrial Relations, including Internet abuse, sexual harassment, HIV/AIDS, stay-aways and women in employment.

Her current research focuses on the integration of paid employment and unpaid care and, in particular, an examination of public policy measures to address these issues. Lisa is currently involved in the Work-family arrangements ( WFA) project within HEARD; which measures adoption for the combination of work and caregiving in South Africa organizations. This project is involved in programme 2 and answers question 2; effective responses.
