Geoffrey has been a Junior Research Fellow at HEARD since 2008. He obtained his Master’s in Development Studies (Distinction), University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2007, his B Sc Honours Wildlife Science, University of KwaZulu-Natal, Pietermaritzburg in 2004 and his B Sc Ecological Sciences, University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg in 2002.

He has also worked and traveled the UK. The projects, in which Geoffrey is currently involved in are; Comprehensive Care, iThembalethu and HWS. Comprehensive Care is associated with the NGO Valley Trust, he is involved with the qualitative side of measuring results, and finding out how effective comprehensive care is around agriculture and primary health clinics; it is a very integrated approach to care! Geoffrey is involved with iThembalethu and HWS (health workers salaries project), by helping with literature reviews. These three projects are associated with Programme 1 and Programme 2. All three of the questions, Key drivers and impacts, Effective responses and What does vulnerability mean, are partially answered by the projects Geoffrey is working on.
