Understanding Gender Policy Failure

Despite many years of gender policy being enacted in the field of HIV and AIDS, women continue to be infected younger than men and undertake the majority of care work. Understanding why this is the case, this project is tracing the initial years of development and implementation of UNAIDS Agenda for Accelerated Country Level Action for Women, Girls, Gender Equality and HIV. This flagship policy document sets out clear approaches and strategies for strengthening the response to gender inequality across UNAIDS and at a national level.
