Gender Equality and HIV Prevention Programme Projects
The Programme's projects contribute to developing a greater understanding of what works in the response to gender inequalities in HIV and AIDS programming and in turn supporting greater integration of gender equality in the response to HIV. The Programme’s focus is on the wider structural and social factors that shape the success or failure of gender interventions and exploring how these can be modified.
Currently the Programme has five projects:
1) Gendering National Strategic Plans in southern and eastern Africa
2) International legal obligations and reproductive rights in Africa
3) Structural interventions for gender equality
4) Representations of gender and sexuality
5) Understanding gender policy failure
