Dudu P Luthuli graduated in 2007 with a National Diploma in Office Management and Technology from the Durban University of Technology, with Business Administration and Information Administration as major subjects. Prior to joining HEARD in November 2007 as Project Administrator, Dudu had worked sequentially in five different departments at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, fulfilling a variety of key administrative support roles: in the Faculty of Engineering, Management Information services, Human Resources, Biomedical Research Ethics and the University Research Office. |
Janitha holds a Diploma in Secretarial Studies and Business Management from the Maritaaz School of Careers. She worked as a Branch Secretary for The Old Mutual prior to an eight-year position as Business Support Administrator at Telkom SA. Janitha joined HEARD in May 2005 as an Office Administrator and moved into the Projects office as Programme Administrator in June 2007. In this role, she is responsible for the administration of the status, scope, priorities, quality and timelines associated with the research projects in her portfolio. This involves the creation and maintenance of project schedules and work plans in accordance with accredited project management methodologies.

Obed Qulo joined HEARD as a Project Director in August 2004. Obed has a Masters degree in Business Administration from Business School Netherlands. Prior to joining HEARD, Obed worked for development agencies and NGOs in a senior management capacity. He has extensive experience in health promotion, strategic management, OD, adult education and management of comprehensive development interventions including HIV/AIDS programming. Over the past fourteen years, he has been involved in managing donor relations, advocacy and developing organisational relationships.

Rose Smart is an independent HIV/AIDS consultant, specialising in AIDS mainstreaming, policies and programmes in the workplace and in the education sector, as well as those related to orphans and vulnerable children. She has extensive training experience and was previously Director of the South African National HIV/AIDS and STI Programme. Rose has worked in many anglophone African countries, as well as in Fiji, Cambodia, Papua New Guinea and Barbados.

Simone joined HEARD in 2007 as an Administrative Assistant. She has a Diploma in Travel and Tourism.
